Took a photo of our flag (I knew those Boy Scout flag-folding skills would come in handy someday), and with a little Photoshopping, it made for simple, somber endpapers. Tore up a cloth diaper we had lying around, and scanned it in for the frayed edges and background texture. Add in some blood...er, ink splatter, and set the text in our decayed 18th century map font TreasureTrove, and voila! Book design, out the door.
